Find the Idea

Before we worry about applications, titles or clever hooks, we find the idea.

Together, we’ll explore your experience, expertise and perspective to uncover the idea with the greatest potential to matter beyond your own story.

We’ll challenge it. Test it. Refine it.

We’ll look at what you know, what you believe, what you have experienced and most importantly, what you see differently that could change the way someone else sees the world.

Because a powerful TEDx talk doesn’t begin with a great story.

It begins with an idea worth hearing.

Build the Application

Once we know what you want to say, we determine where and how to pitch it.

I’ll guide you through identifying TEDx opportunities that align with your idea and developing applications that clearly communicate the idea, its relevance and why you are the right person to bring it forward.

We’ll work together on positioning, application language, titles, supporting materials and application videos for the events you choose to pursue.

You won’t be handed a template and sent away to figure it out.

We’ll build it together.

Create the Talk

Once you are accepted to a TEDx event, our work shifts.

Now we turn the idea that earned you the invitation into the talk your audience deserves.

We’ll develop the narrative architecture, determine which stories belong and which don’t strengthen the through-line of your idea and make every minute on that stage earn its place.

We’ll continually ask the question that separates a personal story from a powerful TEDx talk:

What is the idea the audience gets to take home?

I’ll help you move beyond simply telling your story to communicating an idea that can live beyond you.

Own the Stage

A beautifully written talk isn’t enough.

You need to be able to deliver it without hiding behind a script, relying on notes or performing someone else’s idea of what a TEDx speaker should look like.

We’ll work on delivery, movement, pacing, pauses, audience connection and rehearsal until you
know your talk deeply enough to trust yourself with it.
You will learn to step away from the script, trust what you know and truly connect with the people in front of you.

The goal isn’t perfection.

It’s presence.

Event-Day Support

This is where the VIP Experience becomes something very different from traditional speaker coaching.

I come with you.

For your TEDx event, I will travel to the event location and be there to support you through those final critical hours.

Technical rehearsal.

Last-minute adjustments.

Nerves.

Focus.

The inevitable moment when you suddenly question the sentence we’ve worked on for three months.

And, finally, the moments before you walk onto that red circle.

By then, you’ve done the work. You know the talk.

Why Work With Me

I’ve been coaching TEDx speakers since 2015.

I’ve served on TEDx speaker-selection committees.

I’ve helped speakers move from early ideas and applications through talk development and onto the TEDx stage.

I’ve coached talks that have gone on to receive recognition from TED.

And I’ve stood on that red circle myself.

So I understand this journey from both sides.

But perhaps more importantly, I don’t believe great TEDx coaching is about turning you into a polished performer.

It’s about helping you discover what you really came to say.

Then giving you the tools, preparation and confidence to stand on that stage and say it as only you can.

Can a coach guarantee TEDx acceptance.

Every TEDx event is independently organized and makes its own speaker-selection decisions.

No coach can (or should) guarantee acceptance.
What I can promise is that we will do everything within our control to develop a strong, clear and genuinely TEDx-worthy idea and present it as effectively as possible.

My role isn’t to promise you a red circle.

It’s to make sure you’re ready when the right opportunity appears.

Who is The TEDx VIP Experience For

The TEDx VIP Experience is not for someone looking for a few tips on how to get onto a TEDx stage.

It’s for the person who knows they have something meaningful to say and wants to give that idea the time, thinking and expert support it deserves.

You may be a leader, entrepreneur, author, professional or changemaker.

You don’t need to arrive with a perfectly formed TEDx idea.

In fact, you may arrive with several.

What you do need is curiosity, openness to challenge and a willingness to do the work required to discover what your idea really is.

How the TEDx VIP Experience Works

The TEDx VIP Experience is intentionally high-touch but it isn’t open-ended.

Your initial engagement includes up to 12 months of idea development, TEDx opportunity strategy and application coaching.

Once you are accepted to a TEDx event during that period, your VIP Experience continues through the development, preparation and delivery of that accepted talk, including on-site event support.

This allows us the time and space to pursue the right opportunity without turning the process into an endless chase for a TEDx stage.

What happens if I'm not accepted to TEDx

If acceptance has not occurred within the initial 12-month period, we’ll discuss the best next step together should you wish to continue.

Should I apply to multiple TEDx Events?

The goal is never simply to apply to as many TEDx events as possible.

The goal is to find the right stage for the right idea.
